Horizon Christian Fellowship North County is an outgrowth of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and Pastor Chuck Smith. Mike MacIntosh, an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa was called by the Lord and sent by Pastor Chuck to begin a Bible study in San Diego in 1974. Pastor Mikes Bible study eventually led to the creation of Calvary Chapel San Diego which came to be known as Horizon Christian Fellowship.
